My name is Sandra Means. I have been a Independent Baptist Sunday School teacher for 15 years. I know the struggle of finding good material to help teach my lessons. Jesus with short hair, modestly clothed people, and KJV only are hard to come by. The Lord has put on my heart to start this personal ministry to help other Sunday School teachers have a place to share ideas and provide visuals.
Another love of mine is missions. Do you know that there are still Missionaries around the world sharing the Gospel just like David Livingstone, Mary Slessor, and Hudson Taylor? God is still doing amazing things. Forgotten stories of the past and current modern missionary stories should be told and retold. I hope you will use this site as a resource.
All scripture used is from the King James Version. If you are a missionary and need a resource in a different language please contact us with your requests.
When I was a little girl I realized I was a sinner and I did bad things. No, I did not rob or kill but I did lie and hit my sisters. In God's eyes it does not matter the size of our sins, big or little. He is perfect and He does not allow sin into heaven, not even a speck.
Romans 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
There is no one without sin. There is no one that is perfect. I realized that I could not go to heaven on my own. In fact, because of my sin I deserved to die and go to hell.
Romans 6:23a “For the wages of sin is death...
A wage means a payment, just like when you work a job you get paid for your work. The payment of our sin is death and hell. I am so glad this did not take God by surprise. He knows about my sin and He knows about your sin. Yet He LOVES us so much He made a way so we can go to heaven. I am glad the above verse does not stop there but it continues...
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into this world (this is why we celebrate Christmas). Jesus never sinned. He never did anything wrong. He never lied or hit anyone. He was perfect. He willingly died on the cross to pay our sin wage or payment so that we could go to heaven. Jesus did not stay died and buried, but He rose again the third day (this is why we celebrate Easter).
Jesus did all of that before I was even born, knowing that I would need a Saviour. He did it for you too. God offers us this wonderful gift of Salvation, but He does not make us receive it. It is freely offered to all. If I came to your birthday party and brought you a present but you said “you shouldn't have” and never took it from me, would it be yours? No, not until you received it. I remember that day when I decided I wanted to accept God's gift.
Romans 10:9-10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
This is what I did that day: I asked Jesus into my heart and forgive me of my sins so I could have a home if heaven. I received God's gift that day and I have never regretted my decision. My life has never been the same. If you have never received God's gift of eternal life and forgiveness of sins don't wait. You can do the same right now.
