Beautiful Feet

We are going to talk about feet. How many of you like your feet? We are going to find out how the Bible says we can have beautiful feet.

1. Stinky or Dirty Feet (John 13:2-14)

The first type of feet we are going to talk about are Peter's stinky feet. After the last supper, Jesus got up and started washing the disciples feet. When He got to Peter's feet,

Peter didn't want Him to wash his feet. Peter knew he was not worthy for the Jesus to wash his feet. But Jesus told him, “If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.” Peter said then wash all of me - not just my feet but my head and my hands too. Jesus told him that he did not need them washed too, because only his feet where dirty.

Jesus wanted to teach Peter and us an important lesson. When you get saved and Jesus comes into your heart and He cleanses you from all your sins. That does not mean we become perfect and we will never sin again. We still have our sin nature. However, we become a new creature in Christ and the Holy Spirit comes to live in us. The Holy Spirit convicts us when we do something wrong and we need to make the wrong right.

We need to ask Jesus to forgive us for what we did. We don't have to get saved all over again. We just need to wash our feet. If we sin against our parents, brother or sister, or friend we need to make that right with them and ask them to forgive us too.

2. Gospel Shoes (Ephesians 6:15)

As a part of the armor of God In Ephesians 6:15, “And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;”

You need to put your shoes on. God wants us to prepare to share with other people the Gospel. Don't go outside without your shoes on. Can you take that Bible and show someone that Jesus died for their sins?

John 3:16? The Romans Road? Romans 3:10, 3:23, 5:8, 5:12, 6:23, 10:9-10, and 10:13

 3. Beautiful Feet (Romans 10:14-17)

When you take your shod feet and go and tell someone about Christ the Bible says you have beautiful feet.

Romans 10:15 “And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”

We have the greatest news in the whole world – God sent His Son to pay the price for our sins so we can go to heaven and be with Him throughout all eternity.

Let's get our Gospel Shoes on and go tell others about Jesus!!!
